A clip of the actor looking at his phone as other models walked, then applauding loudly when his girlfriend appeared in the $50m Fantasy Bra, has been shared widely online.
Timothee Chalamet, 30, has gone viral for his reaction to girlfriend Kylie Jenner’s runway debut at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2026 in Culver City on Sunday 18 October. An Instagram clip, originally posted by @victoriaparis, shows him looking down at his phone while other models walked. When Ms Jenner, 29, appeared in the $50m Fantasy Bra, he clapped and cheered. A fan page reposted it with the caption “Timothee Chalamet when other models walk vs. when Kylie Jenner walks”.
The reaction online
The clip drew warm comments. “They are in love and definitely end game!!!” one person wrote. Another said: “He was fully invested”, and a third: “I love a supportive boyfriend”. Others wrote: “I like the way he looks at Kylie, and the fact that he isn’t using his phone”, “he’s just one of us” and “only 3 people without a phone.. good thing her bf is one of them”.
The idea that he deliberately ignored other models is an interpretation of selected footage. It is not a statement of his intentions, and no public comment from Mr Chalamet explaining his behaviour has been found. A verified view count for the original video could not be found either.
Mr Chalamet, an Oscar nominee several times over, has been with Ms Jenner for three years. He sat on the front row beside her mother, Kris Jenner, 70, who held her phone ready to film. Ms Jenner’s boyfriend, Corey Gamble, 45, also attended and applauded as she passed. Victoria’s Secret joined in by commenting on a shared post: “You’re doing amazing, sweetie! 2026 version.” The line refers to a famous remark Kris Jenner made to Kim Kardashian during a magazine photoshoot.
Backstage and family
According to People, Mr Chalamet also joined Ms Jenner backstage. E! News reports that her children Stormi, eight, and Aire, four, watched from the front row. GMA News says Aire waved tentatively at the runway until his mother noticed and waved back. Ms Jenner posted backstage pictures and videos on Instagram, writing “STILL DREAMING”, and shared a close-up of the bra with the words “BEST DAY EVER”, per GMA News and Us Weekly.
Page Six reported, citing anonymous sources, that her sister Kendall, who has walked in three Victoria’s Secret shows, gave her runway advice and thought she was a natural. Page Six linked Kendall’s absence to other commitments, including her 818 tequila brand and the Academy Museum Gala. That is not an on-the-record statement from Kendall.
The Fantasy Bra
The bra has a $22m yellow diamond centrepiece and 4,410 other natural diamonds. According to Vogue, the $50m piece is the most expensive in the brand’s history, $35m above the $15m Red Hot Fantasy Bra worn by Gisele Bundchen in 2000. Designer Jacob Arabo said it contained no fabric, only gold and diamonds, engineered to move with the body. The research notes, citing Vogue, say 15 craftspeople spent more than 1,000 hours on it, that it weighs about 4lb and that its diamonds come in seven cuts. They are angel, heart, pear, marquise, oval, radiant and round brilliant. Mr Arabo said making it wearable was a major challenge.
People reported that it is now being offered for private sale through Jacob & Co. Victoria’s Secret confirmed this to People on 21 October. The asking price has not been disclosed.
Choosing Ms Jenner drew some backlash from fans because she is not an Angel. According to Us Weekly, she is the first woman without Angel status to model the Fantasy Bra, after wearers such as Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks and Adriana Lima. Adam Selman, the brand’s creative chief, told Vogue that the company wanted a “cultural powerhouse” who could appeal beyond fashion, and that fans had asked for the Fantasy Bra to return.
Her entrance was kept secret, Los Angeles Magazine reports, and she walked to “Angel of My Dreams” by Jade Thirlwall, according to E! News. W Magazine says the show returned to Los Angeles after 19 years.
