Yasmin, Twinks and Rob are at risk this week, and viewers say they do not want to lose any of them.
Three Big Brother housemates are facing eviction this week, with viewers reacting angrily on social media. Nominations took place on Wednesday 14 October, with the remaining housemates heading to the Diary Room to share their choices. Yasmin was already at risk after the blue team chose her following a dominoes task. Twinks and Rob each received six nominations, so they will join her in the public vote. It is the first time this series that three housemates have faced the vote at once, and the eviction is due on Friday 16 October.
How the nominations played out
The blue team won the dominoes task and was given the power to nominate someone from the opposing side. Its members were Samuel, Catrin, Harry, Lynx, Philip and Rochelle. They picked Yasmin, who is facing eviction for the first time. Capital reported that Rochelle argued Yasmin contributed too little around the house. Viewers have since defended Yasmin and questioned the fairness of the decision.
The rest of the house then made its own nominations:
- Twinks: six, from Rochelle, Frankie, Rhianna, Philip, Yasmin and Omar
- Rob: six, from Philip, Rhianna, Omar, Frankie, Lynx and Rochelle
- Rochelle: four
- Omar and Rhianna: two each
- Catrin, Lynx, Philip and Sam: one each
- Frankie and Harry: none
The identical totals show Twinks and Rob have become significant targets in the house, but the figures alone do not point to a co-ordinated voting bloc. Voting opened at 10pm on Wednesday. Viewers are asked to vote for the housemate they want to evict, not the one they want to save. A housemate with a passionate fanbase can still be vulnerable if they also attract strong opposition.
Fans’ reaction
The announcement prompted a wave of frustration on social media. “My 3 current fave housemates are up for eviction,” one fan wrote on X. Another said: “Actually fuming.”
One viewer wrote: “Yasmin vs Twinks vs Rob is an abysmal eviction lineup while the horror group coast their way through btw.” A fourth said: “Cancel the eviction. I don’t want any of them to go.” Another posted: “I’m done with this.”
Reddit discussions show a divided audience. Some want Yasmin to survive, others favour evicting Twinks or Rob, and some would rather see Omar or Rochelle at risk. Some users have speculated about a double eviction, but there is no official confirmation that two housemates will leave on Friday.
Complaints and a gender debate
The Sun reported that this series has become the most complained-about since ITV revived Big Brother, with more than 1,000 Ofcom complaints in a single week. About 60 concerned Omar’s comments to Rhianna in the 11 October episode. A further 53 related to Monday’s episode, including allegations of bullying involving Rochelle and Yasmin. Viewers have also criticised arguments involving Pauline, Catrin and Rochelle. An Ofcom complaint does not establish that any broadcasting rules were broken.
The Sun also reported a debate over the gender balance of evictions. According to its reporting, every housemate evicted by the public so far this series has been a woman, and some viewers have asked why male contestants have largely avoided nomination. If Yasmin or Twinks leaves on Friday, that pattern would continue, while Rob would become the first man voted out by the public.
Elsewhere in the house
The Sun reported that Samuel Keen was left upset after hearing members of the eviction-night crowd chant for him to leave, even though he was not facing the vote that night. He reportedly became distressed and questioned whether he had let his family down, and Frankie and Twinks reassured him. Also according to the Sun, the evicted housemate Pauline Adeyemo discussed the flirtatious exchanges viewers had noticed between her and Twinks, suggesting that Twinks had brought out an unexpected side of her and that they could stay in touch.
In Wednesday’s episode, Omar played a prank on Rochelle by hiding her nail kit in the store room. She did not find it funny. “Where’s my nail, where’s all my nail stuff? The whole lot’s gone… where, who has taken it? I f****** hate him,” she said in the Diary Room. “I’m literally gonna rip this place apart till I find it.” Earlier, searching the garden, she asked the others where it was. Lynx said he did not know, and Yasmin told her: “Rochelle, you haven’t even looked properly.” Omar later told Lynx: “She will never find it, where we put it.”
