Iranian state media has published a disturbing video claiming to reveal President Donald Trump’s motorcade routes and security vulnerabilities, in the latest escalation of a public assassination threat campaign against the US president. The footage, released by Fars News Agency, an outlet widely regarded as closely linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), briefly appeared on X before being removed, though it continues to circulate on Telegram and other platforms.
The video opens with a chilling claim of surveillance: “Based on the most complex security protocols between 2024 and 2026, Donald Trump’s routine movements in the US have been gathered and decoded.” It goes on to purport to detail Trump’s route from the airport to Mar-a-Lago, identifying a location along the way as “a very suitable location for the free people of the world.” One section of the footage reportedly points to a bridge along the route as a potential vulnerable point, claiming it could be exploited despite the president’s security arrangements. The footage further claims to show Trump’s path from New York’s LaGuardia Airport to Trump Tower, though the route depicted does not appear to match publicly available maps. The video closes with an ominous warning: “Stay tuned… we are going to get even closer than this.”

Experts question its real intelligence value
Security experts have noted that much of the material shown in the video appears to draw on publicly available information and mapping imagery, rather than demonstrating access to any genuine classified security intelligence.
Part of a wider escalation in threats
The video’s release follows Trump’s public warning last week that he had ordered the US military to be ready to “completely decimate and destroy” Iran should Tehran or its proxies attempt to assassinate him. It also comes after Iran published a “revenge hit list” last week that named Sir Keir Starmer and other world leaders, with Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu placed at the top, both depicted with sniper targets superimposed on their heads. The propaganda campaign follows the death of Iran’s previous supreme leader, with Iran’s new leadership threatening to kill the US president in revenge for the strike that killed his predecessor in February. Mourners at the state funeral for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei were reported to have chanted “Kill Trump” and “Death to America” through the streets of Tehran.
Murals have also appeared across the Iranian capital threatening the president directly. One billboard depicts Trump and his children in coffins draped with the American flag, alongside the slogan “Blood for Blood.” Another shows Trump lying in a coffin, captioned “We kill Trump” in both English and Persian.
Israeli intelligence and continued US strikes
The murals and propaganda video follow reports that Israeli intelligence had uncovered a new plan to assassinate the US president. Against this backdrop, the US carried out strikes against Iran for a sixth consecutive night, targeting bridges and collapsing a tower at a key Iranian port. US Central Command said dozens of targets had been struck in the latest round of attacks, which concluded at dawn on Friday, with the strikes on bridges appearing designed to cut off Iran’s Bandar Abbas port from roads connecting it to Tehran.
Iran responded overnight with fresh missile attacks on Gulf nations, including Qatar, which had previously acted as a mediator in the conflict. The ceasefire agreed under a memorandum of understanding in mid-June appears to have collapsed entirely as the US and Iran continue to trade strikes.
