The hospitality group behind some of London’s most celebrated restaurants is set to expand into the capital’s hotel market with a new property in the heart of Mayfair, marking the UK debut of a freshly created premium brand.
Minor Hotels, which owns The Wolseley Hospitality Group and operates a portfolio that includes The Wolseley, The Delaunay, Colbert and Zedel, will open The WestDill Mayfair Hotel London in the fourth quarter of this year. The property will occupy a Grade II-listed former NatWest bank building on the corner of Piccadilly and Albemarle Street, following a comprehensive transformation of the historic structure.

The hotel will offer 50 bedrooms and suites across six floors, alongside a restaurant and bar, and will operate under Minor Hotels’ newly launched Colbert Collection brand — a premium soft brand drawing inspiration from Parisian boulevard café culture, with an emphasis on culinary excellence and the visual arts. The WestDill Mayfair will be the first Colbert Collection property to open anywhere in the world.
The building is owned by Royal Group of Companies Singapore, a diversified property group with holdings across Asia and the Pacific. The Mayfair hotel represents the group’s first venture into the European market. Co-chairman Bobby Hiranandani said the ambition had been to restore the building’s architectural grandeur while reinterpreting it for a contemporary hospitality context. “The building’s classical language, proportions and detailing provide a rare foundation for an intimate, design-led hotel,” he said, describing the project as “a meaningful contribution to the continued renaissance of Mayfair and the wider West End.”
For Minor Hotels, the opening forms part of a broader expansion strategy. The global group, which currently operates more than 560 properties across 57 countries, has set a target of reaching 850 properties by the end of 2027. To support that ambition, it has unveiled four new hotel brands — The Wolseley Hotels, Colbert Collection, Minor Reserve Collection and iStay Hotels — each targeting different segments of the market from luxury to select-service.

Chief executive Dillip Rajakarier described the Mayfair project as a “unique strategic opportunity” that would establish the group’s presence in a prime central London location and open new avenues for partnerships with character-led independent properties.
Minor Hotels acquired full control of the Corbin & King restaurant group — which previously owned The Wolseley and its sister venues — in April 2022, and also operates nhow London as part of its UK portfolio.
