Emily Atack has confirmed she will marry her fiancé Alistair Garner in September, revealing she has thoroughly enjoyed the planning process as the couple prepare to tie the knot.
The actress, 36, who got engaged to the scientist in July 2025 following the birth of their son Barney, now two, opened up about the upcoming wedding in an interview with Luxury London Magazine. “I think I’ve nailed it. We’re getting married in September. I’ve very much enjoyed the planning process,” she said, adding with characteristic humour: “Choosing napkins and stuff. I’m like, ‘My God, my life is here!'”
Emily’s mother had previously let slip that the couple would wed this year, and sources had previously suggested the Inbetweeners star was considering a venue in Spain — a country she has holidayed in since childhood and to which she and Alistair regularly return. An insider told The Sun On Sunday: “Emily has been going to Spain with her family on holiday ever since she was a child and loves the idea of getting married there. She and Alistair adore the stunning countryside there, and guaranteed sun is a bonus.” Emily herself has said: “We had a property there and my dad sold it a couple of years ago, but it’s our favourite place and we still go every year.”
The wedding announcement comes as Atack enjoys a strong professional moment, having recently returned to screens as seductive Sarah Stratton in the second series of Disney+ drama Rivals, which launched on 15 May. She has spoken candidly about the complexity of the role, describing the character as “an absolute f*ing nightmare” while championing the value of playing flawed women. “I want to play a flawed woman in a right bldy pickle,” she told The Times.
