The cause of death of former Towie star Jake Hall remains unexplained after a post-mortem examination failed to determine how the 35-year-old died following a fall at a holiday villa in Majorca last month, an inquest has heard.
Hall was found dead in a pool of blood after falling through a glass door at the villa on 6 May. An inquest opening at East London Coroner’s Court was told that the post-mortem examination carried out in Spain was unable to establish a definitive cause of death. The court also heard that Hall’s body has since been repatriated to the UK.
Area coroner Nadia Persaud has requested that Spanish authorities provide copies of the toxicology report, police reports and witness statements to assist with the investigation. Hall’s family members have been designated “interested persons” in the proceedings, meaning they will be entitled to interrogate evidence and question witnesses at a full inquest. A provisional inquest date has been set for 7 December 2026.
Hall, who had a funeral last week attended by what celebrity DJ Fat Tony described as an “incredible turn out of love,” was best known for his appearance on Towie, joining the ITV reality series in 2015 and leaving in 2024. He also ran a menswear label, By Jake Hall. He leaves behind a daughter, River, eight, with Albanian model and Real Housewives of Cheshire star Misse Beqiri, 39, who posted a heartfelt tribute on social media following his death, saying her heart was “shattered” and that she had loved him from “the very first moment I saw you.”
Former Towie co-star and ex-girlfriend Chloe Lewis was also among those paying tribute, writing on Instagram that Hall was “such a massive and special part of my life.” The pair had dated in their teenage years and featured together on Towie, where their on-off relationship became one of the show’s best-known storylines before ending in 2016.
