Nottinghamshire Police are hunting a man after a young woman was allegedly raped in Nottingham city centre in the early hours of Saturday morning, with officers appealing for witnesses who may have been in the area at the time.
The force is particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw a man and a woman together on Adams Walk, a city centre alleyway, at around 2.15am on Saturday 13 June. Adams Walk and the adjoining Lace Market Square were both cordoned off with police tape following the incident. The alleged victim is being supported by specialist officers.
Detective Sergeant Hayley Denoon of Nottinghamshire Police said the investigation had moved quickly since the weekend. “We have been working hard over the weekend to understand what happened at this location. To this end, we have interviewed a number of people and reviewed a significant amount of CCTV footage. As we continue with our investigation, we would like to speak with any additional witnesses who may have seen or heard anything untoward in the Adams Walk area at about 2.15am. Even the smallest amount of detail could make all the difference in this investigation.”
Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident 63 of 13 June 2026.
