Cruz Beckham’s girlfriend Jackie Apostel has publicly shown her loyalty to Victoria Beckham by promoting her makeup products just hours after Brooklyn’s pointed social media post reignited the Beckham family feud.
The music producer, 30, shared a clip on her Instagram Stories applying Victoria’s £38 contour stylus, tagging the brand with the caption “@victoriabeckham did I do it right?” Jackie applied the beauty stick to her cheeks, eyelids, nose bridge and lips in a move that left little doubt about which side of the increasingly acrimonious family split she and Cruz occupy.
Her post came hours after Brooklyn, 27, published a sponsored video with food delivery firm DoorDash that appeared designed to poke fun at his estrangement from his parents David and Victoria. In the clip, Brooklyn smirks at the camera and says: “You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home… It’s a long story.” The video closes with the message “It’s complicated. More soon,” hinting at further instalments. The advert is laden with what appear to be deliberate details: a new watch placed on the coffee table seemingly to distance himself from the £250,000 Patek Philippe Nautilus gifted to him by David, and a stack of unopened letters, widely interpreted as a nod to his refusal to maintain contact with his family.

One friend of the Beckhams told the Daily Mail’s Katie Hind: “To do an advert based on estrangement from family as if it’s a joke when his family is devastated and sister and grandparents inconsolable is shocking. Especially from someone who claims he wants peace and privacy.” Brooklyn has an individual net worth of around £7.4 million. Backlash from fans was swift enough that he has since restricted comments on the post to only those he follows.
The timing is particularly painful for the family. Only on Friday, 14-year-old Harper went to Brooklyn’s Beverly Hills home to deliver a handwritten note, only to find he was not there — he was running in New York at the time, as shown in his own Instagram stories. Harper had been in Los Angeles alongside brothers Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 21, to see David honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Brooklyn’s home sits just over five miles from the new plaque. David declined to discuss the family situation at press events surrounding the ceremony, saying: “I’m sorry to stop you there, but that’s a private matter. That’s the one thing that I don’t want to talk about.”
Brooklyn’s camp subsequently accused the Beckhams of “using Harper as a pawn,” telling the Daily Mail: “That photographers were in place as the letter was hand delivered says it all — this was choreographed for the cameras.” Friends of David and Victoria hit back strongly, saying: “It is incredibly sad that this horrible accusation is being levelled at an innocent young girl who just desperately misses her brother. Nothing needed to be said at all so to invent this nasty accusation is really unnecessary.”
Cruz and Romeo have both rallied publicly behind their sister following the accusations. Romeo shared a selfie with Harper on Instagram, calling her his “favourite person ever,” while Cruz’s girlfriend Jackie also revealed the group had spent meaningful time with Harper during the US trip, heading for a seafood dinner at The Crab Cooker in Newport Beach and picking up Erewhon smoothies together, with Jackie later posting a sweet selfie alongside Harper captioned: “LA — OC!! Core memory weekend. We obviously went looking for Summer and Seth.” Both Cruz and Victoria left strings of red heart emojis beneath the post.
Victoria herself has spoken about the pressure of parenting adult children under intense public scrutiny, saying: “Being a parent of young adult children and adult children, gosh, I mean, it’s very different from having little children. I think that we’re trying to do the best we can.” She has maintained that the family drama has not affected her fashion and beauty empire, saying: “I think that ultimately people are buying my product because the product is really good. I don’t think they’re buying my eyeliner just because it’s me.”
The Beckham family rift has been building for months, stemming initially from Brooklyn and wife Nicola Peltz’s absence from David’s 50th birthday celebrations in May 2025. In January, Brooklyn released a six-page statement announcing he was cutting ties with his family, renouncing “Brand Beckham” and accusing his parents and siblings of being “performative.” He also alleged that Victoria had cancelled plans to make Nicola’s wedding dress at the last minute and claimed that David had only agreed to see him around his 50th birthday on the condition that Nicola was not invited. Brooklyn has since blocked his parents on Instagram, with lawyers for the couple writing to the Beckhams’ legal team requesting all communication go through legal representatives. Brooklyn was last pictured with his family at Christmas 2024.
