It’s no secret that over the last few months, during these uncertain times, we’ve all been experiencing weird sleep and unusual dreams.
Some may have had stranger dreams than others, but it seems there’s one in particular that a number of us keep experiencing.
Many people turn to Google for help uncovering what their bad dreams really mean and each month 2,400 people have been asking the search engine to share the meaning behind nightmares about being cheated on.
If you’ve ever had this dream and been left wondering if it was your subconscious trying to tell you something, then fear not, because an expert has the answer.
Luxury Bed Co asked dream expert and wellbeing consultant, Lee Chambers to explain what it means if your partner is cheating on you in your dreams.
He said: “Your own emotional balance may be out of kilter, and can be a sign you are feeling insecure, anxious, or frustrated.
“It can be borne out of the emotions at play if you have been cheated on in a previous relationship. It can also be a sign that you are not currently having your sexual needs met in a relationship.”
He added: “We are in a unique situation currently with interdependence between couples being high and anxious feelings stemming from the pandemic causes higher than usual instances of these types of dreams.”
As well as this, Luxury Bed Co also shared some of the other most common dreams people search for on Google and their meanings.
They looked at five of the most common dream topics, including dreams about houses, snakes and babies.
Houses can represent you, with each room being a symbol of different facets of your life, emotions and personality.
If the house is in a state of disrepair, this can symbolise you need to update your outlook.
Snakes don’t always have negative meanings in dreams and can be a symbol of health and healing.
3. Teeth falling out
This is a common dream that can have a variety of meanings, everything from you are stressed and anxious to you are grinding your teeth when you are sleeping.
Dreaming about school can reflect your experience in work, highlighting anxieties as well as achievements in learning.
Babies represent innocence and new beginnings so can be a symbol of something innocent or pure within yourself.
