Samsung has revealed a built-in privacy display for its upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra smartphone that eliminates the need for stick-on screen protectors by blocking prying eyes at the touch of a button.
The South Korean tech giant shared a YouTube video demonstrating the feature with the caption “For your eyes only,” showing how the privacy display can be activated instantly to make the screen appear completely black to anyone viewing from the side.
The technology replaces the adhesive privacy screen protectors currently available on sites like Amazon, instead integrating the function directly into the device’s display as a switchable feature. Users can toggle the privacy mode on and off as required rather than permanently limiting their screen’s viewing angle.

The built-in solution means commuters sitting adjacent to Galaxy S26 Ultra users will see nothing but a black screen when privacy mode is activated, preventing unwanted viewing of private messages, emails or other sensitive content in public spaces.
Samsung is reportedly keeping the privacy display exclusive to the S26 Ultra model rather than rolling it out across the entire Galaxy S26 range. The company has remained tight-lipped about other features and specifications planned for the upcoming smartphone lineup.
The teaser video represents one of the first official glimpses Samsung has provided of the Galaxy S26 range ahead of its formal unveiling. The launch event is scheduled for 25 February, giving potential buyers approximately one week to wait before full specifications and pricing are announced.

The Galaxy S26 range represents Samsung’s major annual smartphone refresh, with the Ultra model traditionally sitting at the top of the lineup as the company’s flagship offering. The addition of built-in privacy display technology appears designed to differentiate the Ultra model from competitors and lower-tier options within Samsung’s own range.
Full details about the privacy display technology, including how it affects screen brightness and battery consumption when activated, are expected to be confirmed at the 25 February launch event alongside pricing and availability information for the Galaxy S26 range.
